To rent a Kuk Tuk, a  motorbike license is required. These can be attained from the Rarotonga Police Department for a small fee and test. If you’re already a fully licensed motorbike rider, you will not require a local license. 

Please note –  our Kuk Tuks are not automatic so experience riding a manual motorbike will greatly assist you with operating our vehicles.

Our assessment will ensure your competency, confidence & safety operating a Kuk Tuk as they handle slightly differently to motorbikes… no balancing required!! It includes an assessment of both:

1. Vehicle Function, and
2. Vehicle Handling.

Expect it will take between 30 – 60mins dependent on your capability. For an experienced motor-bike rider, it wouldn’t take more than 5 – 10mins.
